What is Ultherapy®?
Ultherapy® is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for lifting and tightening the skin on the chin, neck, and brow. It can also be used to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkle on the décolletage. It works by using focused ultrasound technology to create a heating effect under the skin, which stimulates the body’s collagen production. Collagen, a natural protein in the skin, is essential to achieve firm and toned skin.

It is, however, a great alternative for those who are not ready for surgery but wish to achieve youthful results. The Ultherapy® Treatment
Your Ultherapy® treatment will begin with a cleansing of the targeted skin followed by application of ultrasound gel. Then, the special Ultherapy® device is placed against the skin and adjusted to the appropriate settings. Ultrasound energy will be delivered to the skin, which will emit warm prickles or tingling sensations.
The treatment can take from 30-90 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the targeted area. Most people only need one treatment for optimal results, however, some may benefit from a series of treatment sessions, depending on the amount of skin laxity.
Following Ultherapy® you may experience slight redness, swelling, or numbness in the treated areas; however, these are mild and temporary side effects. There is no downtime required, so you can resume your normal activities immediately. Results will become noticeable over 2-3 months with continued improvement for up to 6 months. Most people can enjoy their tighter, more toned skin for up to a year or more.
